Does your water taste, smell or look odd? Then you will want to get in touch with Aquarius Water Conditioning for a drinking water test in Elk River, MN. We can test for a wide range of contaminants and then recommend the best course of action to take care of whatever kind of problem you might be experiencing. While we can’t test for every potential contaminant that might exist, we can check for most of them.
The Solution to Your Problem
Do you find that your skin itches every time you dry off from a shower, or your water has an odd taste you can’t quite describe? An Aquarius Water Conditioning expert can tell you not only why this is happening (in most instances) but also what you can do about it. Of course, there are some instances where a homeowner will need to send a water sample to a state-certified lab. Still, we’ll usually be able to identify most contaminants that exist.
Once we find out what’s going on, we can tell you how to fix the issue. One possibility will be the K5 Reverse Osmosis Water System from Kinetico. The excellent product is so good at removing contaminants that it can provide you with water that is 99.9 percent pure. There aren’t any other reverse osmosis systems on the market that can come close.
What makes the K5 so unique is that it offers incredible flexibility. For example, you might be one of those people who doesn’t mind having a few extra minerals in your drinking water. If that’s the case, you can use the K5 Mineral Plus feature. It will keep some minerals in your water while getting rid of others. One of our professionals can explain this and every other K5 feature.
What is Reverse Osmosis?
Essentially, reverse osmosis (RO) is the principle that makes the K5 work. First, pour a glass full of water and look at it. Now imagine a membrane inside the glass, right at the center point. One side of the membrane has pure water, while the other half is a mixture of water and salt.
The pure water moves to the other side of the membrane, to the saltwater side. The more plain water that gets through, the more the salt is diluted. This is known as osmosis or osmotic pressure.
RO is, of course, the reverse of osmotic pressure. Your kitchen faucet is an example of RO at work. When you turn it on, the filter in the faucet is supposed to trap whatever contaminants that try to come through. That’s the way it’s supposed to work, at least.
The K5 is a much more elaborate filtration system that will keep your water pure and clean for years to come. When you get in touch with Aquarius Water Conditioning, we’ll show you which type of K5 system will best meet your needs. Let’s say, for instance, that a state-certified lab test reveals that you have volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in your water. The K5 VOC Guard could get rid of them.
